How to see another person's availability

How do I see the availability of another person on our Exchange system.  Right now I cannot view this person's calendar because they haven't shared it (which is fine) but I can see their availability by creating a calendar meeting with that person and going to the "scheduling assistant" (which I then have to cancel out of without saving).

This doesnt seem like the official way to see others' availability so how do I do this without starting the process of creating a meeting?

in outlook menu bar.  File, Open, Other User's Folder...

enter their name and select calendar in drop down menu.

If they are sharing their calendar, you should see it in a new window.

Thank you for your help!

Unfortunately, that did not work.  It gives the same error ("you do not have permissions to access") that I get when I try to open a shared calendar (described here: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook-help/open-another-person-s-exchange-calendar-HA010173767.aspx).

I found what I wanted under "Calendar"-->"Actions"-->"Plan a meeting".

Thanks!
