Stop flash header from reloading?

I recently used a template to customize and build a website for my brother's rugby team.  The flash header that came with the template, i was able to customize it and get all the buttons working in the action script.

My only pet peeve is that every time someone clicks on a link the page reloads the header all over again.  I've done a search and couldn't quite figure out how to stop this reload with already asked questions.  I'd really appreciate some guidance, thanks.

I would hate to use an iframe as many of the students bookmark certain pages and since you said the address bar doesn't reflect the change that would render that aspect useless for them.

I can edit the actionscript, as i was able to do so to use geturl for the button links but I'm not really too familiar with flash (we're only just starting to learn it in classes), so i may have to look up some more information on cookies and exactly how to code it into the actionscript.
Thanks for the help, I'm sure your solution would have worked but i am not that advanced.  I ended up just making the same flash header again but took out the animation and linked header2 to the other pages so only the animation plays on the index page.
