Blue ridge community tv cable Internet

Does anyone gave any experience with blue ridge community television - served by Penn tele data. I consistently have connectivity issues. Sometimes resolved by a cable modem and wireless
Router reset. But sometimes I get an ip, gateway and dns from the wireless router but can ping all but the dns. Can I assume this is an ISP issue?

I dont know about the blue ridge television, but I would suggest plugging your computer into the modem directly and bypass the wireless internet router... I had similar issues recently with the wireless router (even though it is fairly new); for some reason my router just decided to not work anymore.  I was able to track the issue to the router because when I hardwired my computer into the cable modem everything worked great...I left it like that for a few days to test and make sure connectivity was good, then I tried the wireless router again...it worked for a day and then back to the connectivity issues.  I finally went to the rotuer's homepage (linksys) and did a firmware upgrade on the wireless router...so far, I have been working well for a few weeks...if you have already upgraded the wireless router's firmware and are still having problems, try a different wireless rotuer...maybe that one is dead and you need a new one.  Thanks!

I believe I should get the points on this because I pointed out the basic tracing steps that you did follow...realizing this after the fact and then deleting the question doesnt mean I shouldnt get some credit for the answer I provided??

I have not confirmed this is the final resolution - but it is the first steps.
