SQL Native Client vs SQL Server Driver (Faster?)

I am trying to determine which drivers to use for my Crystal Connections and which driver would be faster.  The SQL Native Client driver which is newer or the SQL Driver?

SQL Native Client is the current driver that is recommended to use by Microsoft.
