Quickbooks POS 7 and Quickbooks Pro 8 Financial Exchange Help

I'm having a problem with the Financial Exchange process with respect to Quickbooks POS 7 and Quickbooks Pro 8. I have decided to do this process via the use of Intuit's RDS Server and Client applications. My setup involves the following:
-2 Networked computers on the same Workgroup (One in the Back Office, One in the Store Front )
.- In the Backoffice computer, Quickbooks Pro 8 is installed and configured with Company Data(Company profile has been set up) Also in the backoffice computer, the RDS Server has been installed and configured properly with username, password and default port number. The RDS Server program runs successfully, as well as Quickbooks Pro 8
- In the storefront pc, Quickbooks POS 7 has been set up to the point where the POS hardware has been successfully installed and tested (OS winxp sp2 with .NET Framework 2.0 and Latest Flash Player).
The problem lies with the RDS Client. When the RDS client is installed, it does so successfully. However, before even launching the RDS Client (weather POS is open or not), I have noticed that My Microsoft Office 2007 Professional Suite does not run! It's gives the error (I can't remember the exact error, I'll try to repost it when I have access to the PC) ''Application cannot be launched''. In addition to this, the RDS Client application does not launch. In a previous instance on the same machine, no other applications(Internet Explorer, as well as Office 2007 apps) could be launched at this point with the exception of Point of Sale. I had wiped the drive and did a fresh OS install to try to alleviate the problem, but now everything launches except Office 2007 applications. System Restore performed to remove the RDS Client reverses the problem.
Is there a way that I can maintain the same quickbooks setup on both machines as described above, without the use of the the RDS Server and Client for Financial Exchange? Else, does anyone know a fix? I strongly believe that the RDS client is buggy, or it corrupts my system. Please note that this is the latest RDS Client as provided by Intuit, and also, I have updated the POS Software to the latest version via Quickbooks POS internal update service.
