outlook 2003 and hyperlinks
Hello all, and thank for your help in advance
a user with xp pro, outlook 2003 has an email containing a hyperlink. when the user clicks on said link it causes outlook to disconnect and the login prompt will appear. I have been able to do duplicate this on my machine. is outlook sensing that this link could be suspicious and disconnecting from server ?

ASKER
it a web based construction project management application.
So the link is a standard web URL (e.g. http://company.com/somepage.html)?
ASKER
its a hyperlink that translates to a website so yes to your question
Is the user on a VPN? Do other hyperlinks work?
Have they tried copying and pasting the URL to a browser rather than opening it from the email? What happens when the hold down CTRL and click on it simultaneously? Do you have a GPO policy in place that exhibits this type of behavior?

To the best of my knowledge Outlook has no such capability. What is the link to, a file, a web site, something else?
