Email listserver needed

Hello Experts,
I am trying to set up something similar to a Majordomo email listserver. I have an iPower webhosting account, so I do have access to a webserver that can use PHP, Perl, and CGI.  However, I have little expertise in hosting that kind of application.
The reason I need this is that when someone receives a message from the list, it should have a FROM address of the listname, not the sender.

Thanks in advance for your help.

iPower limits the number of emails you can send: http://www.ipower.com/knowledgebase/beta/article.bml?ArticleID=173&type=Restrictions#Nugget_2024  Most shared hosting won't support a 'listserv' because it generates too much email traffic.

'listserv' is the original but it's not free.  http://www.lsoft.com/  You can sign up for 'listserv' at http://listserve.com/.

My list won't be high volume at all.. Should only have about 10 subscribers..  Do you know of any online alternatives that would be free?

There is PHPlist http://www.phplist.com/ .  Wikipedia list a number of others but not necessarily free: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electronic_mailing_list

I ended up using GoogleGroups for my solution.
