File Server Resource Manager event error 0x8004531c
I am having problems with File Server Resource Manager in Windows Server 2008 R2. I've setup Quota and file screening role for this server. But I am unable to get Recource Manager to send emails to the user when the system has detected, such as a file or the users quota is over or near it's limit. The system does not send any warning emails at all to the users mail box.
I get an error performing the test email, event error code 0x8004531c outlined in my screenshots.

In the recource manager it's all configured to send emails to the user and the IT manager aswell, using Exchange server 2007. When it comes to testing weather the settings work it comes up with the error messages above in the screen shots.

I am having this issue with Server 2008r2 and Exchange 2010. Can you point me to a solution for this configuration?
You can refer to the attached document to setup the message relay for File Server Resource Manager on the Exchange server and your problem will be solved.

Make sure you put right from address domain name. It was failing with this error message for me only because from email address does not have right domain name as i used the default one. Once i made that change everything worked good.
Aslo, what is the type of the mail server, is it Exchange or something else?
