Ok, I'll run the debugs in the meantime and show commands to capture information next time it happens.B/w can i ask what version of ios are you also using on your 3845 that has been running stable ? Since it happens on multiple sites randomly (not all that often), so am thinking it maybe the IOS too !

We sometimes have VG224 or an 8-port FXS module in ISR 3845 router to connect analog extensions. What happens is that sometimes the ports regularly go out of service. What I have to do is to shut/noshut the port manually and then it comes back up fine. Next morning, the port is again out of service and we have to manually shut/noshut it to bring it back to service. Happens randomly on different ports. <br />

Is it faulty port ? or faulty device ? or is there a known behavior with these devices ? Any comments would be appreciated !

Voice Over IP

A router is a networking device that forwards data packets between computer networks. Routers perform the "traffic directing" functions on the Internet.
