Problem withSBS 2008 connector?

Hi all,

For our accounts we use the SBS 2008 pop3 connector to download our emails from BT and then distribute them accordingly (because the router in the office is turned off over the weekend (don't ask :S ).

Ok, so I hae been testing something and needed to trigger the download of the pop3 accounts (using the retrieve now button).

Now I got a completed with errors message and after checking the logs i find this message;

t 0] 09/20/10, 14:35:36: (POP3) [RX] .
[t 0] 09/20/10, 14:35:36: WARNING: Item 1 is too big (12467169 > 10485760) to download. (pop3.btconnect.com:110:"<username>")
[t 0] 09/20/10, 14:35:36: WARNING: Item 2 is too big (21922918 > 10485760) to download. (pop3.btconnect.com:110:"<username>")
[t 0] 09/20/10, 14:35:36: WARNING: Item 3 is too big (17573255 > 10485760) to download. (pop3.btconnect.com:110:"<username?")
[t 0] 09/20/10, 14:35:36: (POP3) [TX] QUIT
[t 0] 09/20/10, 14:35:36: (SMTP) [TX] QUIT

etc is there anything I can do to make the server download the email? (ie. increase the threshold?)

Thanks in advance,

Matt.

run the following
get-receiveconnector | fl name,max*

look at the maximum message size settings for your connectors

you can run the following to increase all
get-receiveconnector | set-receiveconnector -maxmessagesize 20MB
