I would like to make the extentions ring longer before going to voice mail. It rings 4 times at the moment and them goes to voice mail. I would like for it to ring 6 times.

Hi,

There are two ways of doing this and they depend on how the system moves the call to voicemail.
One way is to use the System reroute timer on the Systems Options form (Default is 22). This will affect everyone on the system.
The other way is to change the Class of Service for the desired phones. If you are using call forwarding then change Call Forward No Answer timer (default 17) and if you are using call rerouting then change the Answer plus System reroute timer(A+SR). If A+SR is greater than 0, then it will be used instead of the system reroute timer.

Hope this helps

Thanks for your reply. The only thing I can see under system options form is call rerouting timer and it is set to 20. What should it be if I want it to ring 6 times? It can apply to all users.

I appretiate your efforts. Your knowledge of Mitel is awesome.

Sorry, the timer is call rerouting timer.
The system doesn't work in number of rings, but if 20s allowed for 4 rings, then I would say 30s would be good for 6 rings. You may have to change it, test it and then alter it accordingly.
Yes, this will apply to all reroutes handled by the system.
