mail enable accounts using ADUC and Exchange 2010

I am unable to add any exchange tabs to ADUC using server 2008 R2 and Exchange 2010.  I believe that I finished all of the prereqs before installing Exchange and it does seem to be working fine with the exception of mail enabling accounts using ADUC.
Does anyone have any ideas that I might try?
Thanks.

Indeed, since Exchange 2007 all exchange management is done via the EMC or EMS
