Paypal Error from Joomla Component

I have a Ticket Sales Component in my Joomla site which uses a Paypal button. AEverything works correctly except for tickets that use a decimal point. ie. all tickets for €10, €20 etc sell fine but tickets for €12.50, €17.50 etc return this error from Paypal

The link you have used to enter the PayPal system contains an incorrectly formatted item amount.

My understanding is that Paypal does not like if the ticket is set up using a comma instead of a decimal point ie. €17,50 instead of €17.50. The this ng is Im NOT using any commas when I set up the price of the ticket (in th admin area of the site). Therefore I presume tere is a file somewhere else that is changing this. I have no idea where this file might be. Can anyone help?

The Component is called RD-Ticketmaster using Joomla 1.5.20. The site is live and is here -  http://www.galwaycomedyfestival.com

I think its better to use cents instead of decimal numbers... devide it by 100 and you have your amount.

1750 cents / 100 = 17,50.
