The frameworkservice is reporting error and getting stopped.

What version of McAfee are you running?
Your most likely course of action here is to uninstall the McAfee suite, do a manual cleanup of the file system & registry, and do a fresh install.
Order is important: You need to install the framework first, the AV app second, and the Anti-Spyware last.

The Mcafee Agent is 4.5 with patch 3,
ePO application 4.5 with Patch 3
Vse 8.7 with patch 3

That is the latest version. I had the issue once or twice with 8.7 patch2, and a complete re-install solved it.

Get rid of McAfee? Now that you mention it, you might as well get rid of your entire computer, buy a new Dell Alienware system and install symantec. Problem solved, 500 points earned.

Seriously, read the question.

I would try uninstalling and reinstalling too. Open a command prompt, go to c:\program files\mcafee\common framework and type the command: frminst.exe /remove=agent /forceuninstall

This will remove the management agent, but not completely. To get rid of it completely, uninstall VirusScan Enterprise. Then, re-deploy the McAfee Agent from your ePO Server or by running Framepkg.exe.

If that doesn't work, there is something wrong that is probably not related to McAfee directly. We would have to investigate further. Do your application and system log show more than just this error?

HI,

We had uninstalled and reinstalled completely, however the framework gets error. This doesnot happen on 1 Pc.
this happens for many PC's at the same time.

Guys buying new system - this is not for 1 pc! and moving to Symantec !!!! we have Mcafee complete licensing.

What version of .Net is running on the PC? If you are running 3 or lower, then please try updaging to 3.5 SP1 or preferably 4, then try the McAfee install again.

You may find that, even after uninstalling MCAfee, you still have the McAfee files and/or registry keys in place. You should delte all files (incl Framework; may need to do a search to insure you got them all), and then reboot. Once you reboot, you should be able to install it again w/o error!

This is a BUG in Mcafee Agent 4.5. MA 4.5 patch 2 might solve the issue.

always update to the latest version to start. I have found at time though you need to clean out everything before you can get the "update" to install w/o an error. But try it first to see if it fixes the issue.

The best version to install at this point in time is McAfee Agent 4.5 without any patches, a hotfix for the issues is to be expected on october 19, also see this kb article: https://kc.mcafee.com/corporate/index?page=content&id=KB70009
