What routes does this ignore?
routes.IgnoreRoute("{resource}.axd/{*pathInfo}");

How do I add a route to the default routing table code for the startup project?
            routes.MapRoute(
                "Default", // Route name
                "{controller}/{action}/{id}", // URL with parameters
                new { controller = "Home", action = "Index", id = UrlParameter.Optional } // Parameter defaults
            );
