Outlook anywhere issues with SBS2008

Hi,

IM having an issue connecting outlook anywhere to my SBS server. I'am running Exchange 07 with SBS2008. I have followed the instructions on the RWW to configuring my account. once i enter the information i keep getting prompted to enter my logon credentials.

Rww works fine and i have a cert installed from go daddy. I have a feeling the problem lies with IIS but i may be wrong. I have read some talk about editing the Web.config file but havnt found good instructions for that. port 443 is open and going to server.

Thanks for your post and help, Tony

endital1097,

Im alittle confused on what you mean. I understand what you mean by that you browse to remote.rwdco.com and you get prompted for a username and password. which is normal. but what does that have to do with the way outlook anywhere works?? does outlook anywhere need to be pointed somewhere else??

the value from "get-outlookanywhere | fl extern*" is used by autodiscover to configure outlook for outlook anywhere access
this value should also be the fqdn value used by owa

it seems like the tool is going to the wrong fqdn when it tests

Issue fixed with microsoft. Seems like when RPC was uninstalled and then reinstalled awhile back it broke a connection. RPC over http needed to be reinstalled and microsoft had a registry hack to reconnect it.

Thanks for the help

typically after the reinstall of rpc you disable outlook anywhere and re-enable it
