Is it policy to create an IT policy on a BES 4.1.7 to default the blackberry device browser to the Internet Browser instead of the Blackberry Browser? If so, how is this done?
Thank you.

If you go under IT policies, either create a new one or choose properties of the existing default policies, under global items, you will have    allow browser option    , which you need to set to falso to hide the blackberry browser icon on the device. Once this is done, what you would do is go to browser option which is further down, and set yes for option allow ibs browser and choose mds browser use separate icon.

once the policy has been set, resend the service book and that should take care of it.

gud luck
