Exchange 2003 stopped processing email

I have a SBS 2003 that has stopped processing any email incoming or outgoing. I can see the Email Queue has messages to be processed.

Server can access Internet, and strangely the log file for SMTPSVC is showing in attached snippet.

Have tried to reset server, restart IIS, force queue connection but am now at a loss.

Check the Event Viewer for Exchange Specific error messages. This most commons causes are a) one of your drives is out of space b) Your exchange DB has reached its maximum limit.

Nothing in Event Viewer and DB size is fine - this is only a backup server which handles only 50 messages a week.

I have run BPA and no errors.

Any other thoughts?
which queue container is getting message queue up?
Check the breadgehead server or smart host is reachable or not?
is this internal or external?
if this is the internet facing server check if it able to resolve the external mx record?
also check if the exchange server is able to contact the DC? you can also check event logs in DC.

I will suggest to reboot the server and check.

Thnx,
Subrat
Flipp,

I know that you say that your DB size is fine, but could you please tell me what is it's size?

Cheers,
Rene
