Hi
I have just installed a new PC for a customer running windows 7 Home premium and set up his email account in Microsoft 2007 and configured it to leave a copy of the email messages on the server for 14 days (ISP is Virgin). Their old PC is set-up along side it running windows XP and outlook express also configured to leave a copy on the sever for 14 days.
Both machines can send and recieve meassages, but the problem is that some emails are only comimg to one machine or the other, quite frankly I would not have believed the customer unless i had seen this with my own eyes, I would have assummed that the missing emails were probably in the junk/spam folder. This is not the case.
I have checked weather the missing emails are perhaps coming from one sender, this is not the case either so the problem appears to be quite random. I have checked for the missing emails on the virgin mail server and they are sitting there, but will not download to both machines - only one or the other.
This is really baffling me and the customer is also wooried that he is not going to get all his emails when the old machine finally dies. Any help to resolve thios issue would be graetly appreciated

To close this question I can confirm that I spoke to virgin themselves and spoke to someone at virgin who had had the same problems themselves said it was their servers but did,t really give a reason why this would happen. soory can't provide any more info.
