HP Photosmart C4795, how to turn off wireless

Hi There,

I have a remote client who installed an HP Photosmart C4795 printer and attempted to setup using wireless. The problem seems to be that whenever it connects to the network, the wireless internet stops working for the laptop in the same office. So she connected it via the regular USB method, this is fine for her.

The problem is that the printer keeps re-connecting to the wireless and choking out the internet and in the manual there are no specific instructions for how to disable the wireless entirely. I am confident it's possible because I have an earlier HP Printer with a different menu navigation than hers and I can disable the wireless on mine. I tried giving her the steps that I take using my HP printer, but we have different menus apparently so it did not help.

Does anyone have this model and could give me the step by step for navigating the system menu to disable wireless radio from the HP Photosmart C4795 entirely? Thanks!!

TLDR: Need step-by-step from someone with an HP Photosmart C4700 Series how to disable wireless radio entirely on this model. Thanks!

If you can't disable the Wi-FI function, why not just punch in some wrong information, so the printer forgets the old network and settings. Just give it some wrong information. If I recall correctly, you have an option to enter your own SSID, IP and so on, for networks with hidden SSID (Wireless network name).

If you aren't able to disable the radio, this sould be a decent work around.
Give it a go.

Yes, I'll do that as a last resort, thanks! But I really would just like to disable it if anyone out there has a similar model, or this information.

Good enough solution that would have worked. The client ended up finding the disable wireless radio option in the menu and all is well, but she could not repeat the steps to me so I could post FYI.
