SBS 2008 Admin

We recently installed sbs 2008.  During installation it asks for an administrator name and password during setup so my name and password were entered.  I see that there is an administrator user that is different from my name as administrator.  I've always seen just straight administrator as a user account but how do I find out or reset the admin password???  It was never entered by me during setup but was abvoiusly generated as an account.  Thanks

The administrator account is created and disabled by default for security purposes, and just in case the administrator account you created gets damaged or locked out.

You have to just reset the password by going into active directory users and computers >built in> etc. It isn't available from sbs console.

Thanks tharstern.  Can you give me a little more detail as to where to locate the admin password reset.  I can't find it under the active directory.  I'm not a formally trained IT guy so my KB is limited.  Thanks.

To unlock the account, you go to the properties of the user and select the 'account' tab.

You will need to scroll down within the account options and untick 'account disabled'
