sendmail bcc limit

Are there any sendmail default limits on # of BCC recipients? If so, can the be overissen at script execution?

I have a perl script using mime::lite that works great for email. I recently tried to send to about 100 BCC recipients (usually I limit it to 10 or less) and I got the following message and no mail sent.

Software error:
error closing /usr/sbin/sendmail:  (exit 28416)

I am sending a light-weight, multipart/mixed message with a TEXT/HTML attachment. (this works with a low number of recipients)

I do have access to the server if I need to dig deeper.

This is restricted by the MAX_RCPTS_PER_MESSAGE setting

I am assuming I have to change the sendmail configuration on the server to accomodate this. what is the typical filename I should be looking for?

sendmail.mc
on redhat/centos/fedora it will be in /etc/mail directory

after editing this file you need to run the "make" command in the same directory.

You might have to install the sendmail-cf package

If you run into trouble, please post your linux distribution and version info. I am assuming that you are using linux
