Backup exe 11 d, errors
I have backup exe 11 d running on a SBS server 2003 and have started getting the following errors:
Check status : Error: e000846b, The job failed with the following error: The resource could not be backed up because an error occurred while connecting to the Backup Exec for Windows Servers Remote Agent.
I tried stoping and restarting the serice and even doing a test backup and still fails, any help would be appericated.

I would 1st of all make sure Backup Exec is fully patched. Also make sure that the user account that the Remote Agent service is using is 'local system'. Are there any errors in the Windows Event Logs that appear around the time the backup fails that would give us more info?

I checked and the Remote agent is running on local system. I have attached the event log i found.

Looks to me like a problem on the B2D folder. Is the backup job set to overwrite? If it is set to append and the disk is now full this may happen. Is the device that you are backing up to working properly? Check that this device is properly attached and is accessible.

Yes it is set to over right and the disk is online, but when tring to do the back up it stops all services and reports a fail.

i tested all the client connections and they all check out ok..when i did the server it shut the backup exe down and i had to restart all the serveices. see attached
any clues?
