AIX 5.1 -- Easiest way to mount a remote filesystem?
I want to mount a remote filesystem on our AIX 5.1 box. I am thinking I would share the filesystem from a redhat linux box. What is the easiest way?

Yes to both questions.
A simple mount command does not manipulate any sytem configuration, and sysback works on a device basis and ignores networked (RPC) items.

you rock wmp. Thanks!
One last question -- do you see any problem with me restoring files from tape to a new location, and picking the NFS mount as the new location?

If I just use mount myhost:/myexport /mount_myhost -- then it will NOT remount on reboot -- correct? (I do NOT want it to remount on reboot)
Also -- is it safe to assume that it will not try to back up things residing in this mount during the nightly full sysback backup?
