CHKDSK is verifying indexes (stage 2 of 3)...
On a dell poweredge 1900 eith sbs 2003 r2 we get after a reboot automaticly chkdsk. on drive F: Data)
CHKDSK is verifying files (stage 1 of 3)...
File verification completed.
after that is goes on to:
CHKDSK is verifying indexes (stage 2 of 3)...
It is taking quite some time now, and we don;t see any progression. Should it normally show how far it is (%) ? How long should it take to finish? can we stop it or cancelling it to boot to windows and get the server online again?
The other problem next to this is that when going into bios the keybord wil work, but as soon windows starts to boot the keybord will stop working. it is an usb keybord, because the system has no ps2 connectors.

the HDD led is steady on and blinking every once in a while. It is a hdd led from an Dell Poweredge 1900 so it is shared with the total of three disks.
In that case I would suspect the hard drive might be developing bad spots. I would run an extended diagnostic on it to confirm.

If you can login via remote desktop, get in that way. The USB drivers should then install and after that you should be able to use the local keyboard.
