Windows 2008 FTP problems

Hey guys,

I'm struggling to set something up that has historically been fairly easy ... setting up an FTP ... but with Windows Server 2008, I am struggling.

We've set up a user account, and as you can see from the logs, all crendials are accepted ... but it won't "list"

I'm no server expert or FTP expert really - as it's always just worked (win 2003)

I'm showing the client-connection log below - let me know where i should start troubleshooting.

Thanks.

Well, I've got a rule for both 20 and 21 in my advanced firewall, yes.  I've set it allow on all networks (rather than just 'public' etc)

OK, here's the weirdest bit ... if I turn off Windows Firewall on the server (a big no, no!) ... the result is the same ... connect, but no list.

That is very odd.

Computers hate me.

still not 100% sure why, but we got it working - passive/active/firewalls etc.
