Exchange Issue -Cannot receive from outside
Hello,
I was doing some maintenance over the weekend and I had accidentally shutdown Exchange server 07. When I brought it back up everything looked ok but now for some reason I cannot receive emails from outside the organization. I can send fine and receive fine from within. I can even telnet into exchange on port 25 from within. Our model is set like this. Emails come thru our firebox firewall and point to our spam server. From the spam server its then forwarded to exchange. I have restarted both the spam server and exchange and the firewall but with no luck. I have checked the accepted domains as well and its set to allow anonymous. Not sure where to go from here. The antispam filter we use is called Autumn Tech Enterprise Edition. Its some free antispam software that the admin before me setup. I do not know enough about it to be very useful there. I am only 3 weeks into this job

Sorry, have you also run ICW (internet connection wizard) on the mail server?

Um, no, not necessarily. This could still be DNS, particularly as you appear to have outgoing connectivity.
Do a ping test from a command prompt.
RUN->CMD->ping 66.102.13.99
If you get a reply, then you have connectivity and try to ping www.google.com
If no reply from google, but OK with IP, then you have a DNS issue (aka names are not resolving to IPs)
