troubleshooting Question

System Group Purpose in Windows 2003 Server

Hi we are working on a some NTFS and GPO setting, and on another post open by us, the user says we should apply full control to the SYSTEM group under security tab of file.

Are we correct in saying the SYSTEM group is talking about the the server its self, and giving the server permission to do what it needs to, to the folder. ?

Sorry Ive never applied stuff ot the systems group before.
