I'm running a Windows 2003/2008 server environment with redirected "My Documents" as part of the group policy. The users' dox are redirected to a Windows Storage Server 2008 box.
The user is getting a similar error message (the names are changed to remain anonymous):
\\ServerName\UserFiles\UserName\My Documents\ComanyName\Folder1\Folder2\Folder3 refers to a location that is unavailable. It could be a hard drive on this computer, or on a network. Check to make sure the disk is properly inserted, or that you are connected to the Internet or your network, and then try again. If it still cannot be located, the information might have been moved to a different location.
The weird thing is that he clicks the target folder a few times and each time it says the same thing. However, one last click and the user is in to the desired directory.
We are baffled why it works after a few attempts, and sometimes after just one!
