Hello Gurus,

I've a three node veritas cluster. I need to install a Kernel patch to one node which requires a reboot and need to failover the services to another node. Wonder what would be the best way to do it?

OS=solaris 10

research on Google results with this suggestion;
To make the change persistent across reboots, do the following:
#haconf -makerw
#hagrp -freeze -persistent
#haconf -dump makero
Apply patch to node-A, reboot, wait until all resources & apps are back online, then do the same commands on node-B.

Another way is to just apply the patch on node-A, then reboot, and let all the apps and resources failover to the node-B, without running commands from above;
once node-A comes back online, then do the same to node-B, reboot, this will failover all resources to node-A.
When node-B comes back, manualy failover the resources (belong to node-B) back to node-B.

Please let me know what other info I need to provide.

Thanks in advance for your help.
