Dreamweaver FTP not uploading after changing location
Question:
I just moved my computer with Adobe dreamweaver to a new location. I had nontrouble uploading files FTP via dreamweaver at the old libation but now can only download files. I was wireless connected to a router and then cable modem and new location the computer is wired into a router that is connected via DSL. I just cannot figure out what I need to change to get it to work.
It is running on Mac OS X on an iMac.

DSL upload speeds are really slow... Are you sure it is failing and just not taking really long?
Under the Window menu in Dreamweaver is an option for FTP log. Try to move some files around and see what the log reports.
FTP is working on port 21 (default). Check your router for firewall settings and any other settings for port 21. There is also possibility that you have problem with PPPoE on ADSL connection because of MAC OS. When you try to upload file, is file created on FTP with 0 bytes or just file failed to transfer?

A file is created with 0 bytes.

Kechka - I think you are on to my problem. The DSL is connected via PPPoE. I can get it to work if I connect my computer directly to the DSL modem instead of vai a router. Do you know of anyway to make this work via the router connected to hte DSL modem?
thanks for your help,
I will credit you with the solution but if you had further advice on be able to use the router I would appreciate it.

There is the problem with MTU size. Take a look at:

So is there a setting then on my Linksys router to change the MTU size?
