Antamedia Hotspot - Internet Connection Sharing Issue
I have a client who has a main PC with a main modem/router connected to NIC1 and a wireless router connected to NIC2.
I have shared the Internet Connection that is alive and active on NIC1.
I am trying to conifgure Antamedia Hotspot using ICS.
We had it going well , but then Antamedia told us to upgrade to the latest version to try to correct one minor issue, and the whole system went down and we have not been able to successfully connect a wireless device to the internet using Hotspot.
Antamedia tell me that if Hotpsot is not running, then anyeon who connects to the wireless router should be able to surf the web. The router does not have any wireless security as Hotspot looks after this when it is running.
So my question is, if ICS is activated on the computer then should anyone who connects to the wireless router be able to surf the web. This is not currently happening.
Also when I activate ICS on NIC1 then enable NIC2, NIC2 does not automatically get an IP address. I have to manually enter 192.168.0.1 with subnet 255.255.255.0.
But then when I start Hotspot, clients can log into Hotpsot but can not surf the web.
Can anyone help with this?
So far Antamedia have not been able to help me resolve this
