We have a server having windows 2008 R2 Standard Edition 64-Bit with SQL 2008 R2 Standard Edition 64-Bit.

Now what we have observer that WMIPRVSE.exe is continuously running as a process and it's starts with the consumption of 3MB of memory and this memory consumption keeps on increasing until either we kill the process or restarts the WMI Management Instrumentation service.

Again even after killing the process or restart of the service, the process starts again with the 3MB of memory and the same thing starts happening.

We have already checked the location of the exe is Windows-root\System32\Config which seems to be correct and it is not a virus.

Please help us in resolving the issue.
