Hi,

1) I saw a vmware server; the nama is "vmware 20"
2) there are 2 vm networks in this server:
- vmnetwork#1 and vmnetwork#2
3)The vmnetwork#1 has the followings:
-It is in the 61 subnet
- when creating the vmnetwork#1, i believe the system forces to create the " service console "; accordingly, we create the "Service Console#1" which IP address is " 192.168.61.100 "
4) The vmnetwork#2 has the followings:
-It is in the 75 subnet
-There is a "Service console#2" which IP address is "192.168.75.3" ...
- And also the "VMKernel" which IP address is " 192.168.75.6 " ....

5) The Subnet 61 is for the INTRANET and INTERNET (Every server and workstation will be in this subnet)
6) The Subnet 75 is only communication to the SAN (Storage Area Network)
7) MY QUESTIONS: i) What is the FUNCTION of the above VMKernel (the IP address of "192.168.75.6")?, ii)Could we CREATE a VMKernel at subnet 61? Please explain
8) Thank you

tjie
