Blackberry not synchronising with Entourage
hi guys
we have an exchange 2007 environment. Everybody is on the BES. However, we have one user using Entourage 2008. So when they delete something on their Bberry (which has been set to delete on both Mailbox and Handheld), it doesn't pick it up in their Entourage mailbox.
Any ideas on how to fix this?
As far as I can tell, it must be an issue with Exchange and Entourage not talking right?
Cheers

how are you connected via entourage?
Using imap or usiing http-rpt?
try using http-rpt!!!
it should replicate on entourage (not right away) but the next time it refreshed..
if you are using imap, i should replicate right away. BUt calendar and many other items should not work on imap.

Do you mean http-rpc ?
Didn't realise Entourage supported that now. Out of date with it. :)

Thankfully I haven't had to support third party clients for some time - Outlook has been the one in use and whatever else people want to say about it, at least it works. :)
No worries on the acronym - just if the OP wanted to search on the term, that is all.

Okay, I've just been told by Blackberry that it's because of our cdo.dll files. Something is causing the synchronisation problem. On the Exchange server 2007, the CDO.dll file version is 6.5.8165.0. On the Blackberry server it is: 6.5.8131.0. How can I update the BES one to be the same?
umm
but didn't you said that everything is ok if you access through the web?
and through outlook?
them
that does not make any sence.!!!

it is okay when we do it from the web, that's fine, occasionally with delays. However, after a closer look we noticed that the number of emails showing up on Outlook for example is 60 Unread Emails and then on the Blackberry it is showing up as 15 Unread Emails. This is with almost all of the handsets. Apologies for jumping from one thing to another. Would this mean the cdo.dll should be updated or is there something else we should try?

If they were to delete a mail on OWA, I don't think it would reflect in Entourage either?
