I'm trying to configure sql mail for sql agent alerts in SQL Server 2005-SP3 (9.00.4035). I understand that in 64-bit sql mail operates differently.  I've followed the steps in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/908360 but when I click the test button I get an error.

TITLE: Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
------------------------------

Test mail profile failed for JobServer '<servername>'.  (Microsoft.SqlServer.Smo)

------------------------------
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

An exception occurred while executing a Transact-SQL statement or batch. (Microsoft.SqlServer.ConnectionInfo)

------------------------------

SQLServerAgent Error: The MAPI Call failed. (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 22022)
