My Access 2003 app suddenly won't run on Windows 7 or Vista - Library.mde not registered?
I have an application that I've been working with for many years. It is very stable and I've not had any problems with it. It is an Access 2003 mde and to get it to run on Vista or Windows 7 I have had to maintain two development environments one with XP and the other with Vista. I compile for my XP users on the XP machine and for my Vista/Windows 7 users, I compile on the Vista machine.
Here is the strange bit of information. It works for me on my Vista machine and my Server 2008 machine but not for my clients. However, no users - I or anyone else - cannot get it to run now under Windows 7. This is a new behavior and not understandable since I never had a problem about this until about 2 or 3 weeks ago.
Any ideas?

is this win7 64bit? that could be it. Win7 have a WinXP mode (for professional/ultimate/ente rprise versions). Perhaps try running in that

How do I access that mode?

What I don't understand is why would it work just fine for six months under Windows 7, more than a year on Server 2008 and several years under Vista and then stop working now - and inconsistently for me and my clients?
maybe I misread. I thought it worked for you but not for your clients. this is xp mode I was talking about http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/download.aspx
could it be any kind of windows updates?

Rockiroads:
Turns out that most of my references are broken - Microsoft must have done a Windows Update and revised DLLs like VBA - my production machine is running VBA 6 build 6.05 10.24 while my customer machines are updated and are running VBA build 6.05 10.53.
I've tried to run all of my outstanding Windows updates on that Vista machine but they keep failing to install.
Any suggestions?
