How to create an SCCM Collection
We have SCCM SP1 and want to create the collections based on the Active Directory structure we have just remodelled.
Is there a way to use AD as the collection structure and automate the update process of changes between the two....AD to SCCM, using discovery methods somehow

This solution is only available to members.
To access this solution, you must be a member of Experts Exchange.
You will need to create collections on your own, then you use queries to populate them.
Here is some more detailed steps ..http://www.zdnetasia.com/make-sms-2007-collections-based-on-ou-62043536.htm
Now out of curosity I'm intrested in why you are doing this. Most customers I know in recent years have moved to consilidate their OU structures for only two purposes .. delegation of administration and application of Group Policy .. so I'm suprised that someone is modelling their SCCM 2007 Collections based on OU design. You don't have to reply, but I am curious about your reasons :)
