I've got two Exchange 2010 SP1 servers configured with 2 NIC's and it all looks OK except for the Cluster Core Resources. When specifying two IP Addresses for the DAG (One in each site), only one core resource is online. I've tried configuring DAG with both one NIC (MAPI and replication on one NIC) and two NICs with a routed VLAN for replication. Both result in the Cluster Core Resource not being able to bring both IP's online at the same time. I've attached a screenshot of the problem, trying to bring it online results in the error:
The operation has failed.
An error occurred while attempting to bring the resource 'IPv4 Static Address 2 (Cluster Group)' online.
Error Code: 0x80071397
The operation failed because either the specified cluster node is not the owner of the resource, or the node is not a possible owner of the resource
My question is, is this behaviour by design or is there a misconfiguration in my setup?
