How do I test an Internal IP port to see if my two computers can communicate on that port through any firewalls?

TCP/IP

I work for a company that makes some software to communicate with serial devices.  One of our programs runs as a service and listens on IP port 2003 and sends the requests to the com ports of the computer hosting the service.  Other computers should be able to send TCP commands to the service at the 2003 port.

One customer is having a problem communicating to this service.  Is there any tool that I can use to just simply run on one computer, type in an IP port to see if it is being blocked on that very same computer without having to know anything about the firewalls that may be running on this computer?
