Hi,
I have a container div: contentArea @ 100%
and two divs acting as columns which are floated respectively.

Left column is shorter and I need it to be whatever the right column height must be.

I have tried a few examples on other websites but it doesnt seem to work for me.

#contentArea {
	background-color: #FFFFFF;
	height:100%;
}
#columnLeft {
	float: left;
	width: 190px;
	position: relative;
	margin-top:8px;
	background-color:#a97f35;
	background-repeat:repeat-y;
	padding: 3px;
	height:100%;

}
#columnRight {
	float: right;
	width: 440px;
	position: relative;
	margin-top:8px;
}

    <div id="contentArea">
  <div id="columnLeft">

</div>

    <div id="columnRight">

    </div>
    <div style="clear:both"> </div>
</div>
