I have a Gridview with 15 columns, lets say. First column is name, next 7 columns are the days of the week Sun, Mon, through Sat, and the next 7 columns of comments for the days of the week (i.e. SunComment, MonComment through SatComment). The columns are BoundFields at the moment and I only display the first 8 columns, since I want the comments to be invisible (thus I set them to Visible="False"). How can I use the contents of the Comment fields in the daily fields (perhaps as a tooltip) so that users can hover over (or click) the day contents or an icon next to the day contents and see the comment for the day?

Although I have been successful in getting a tooltip using codebehind (in GridView1_RowDataBound) when all 15 fields are VISIBLE, I am not able to get any contents from Comment fields to display as tooltips when the comment fields are INVISIBLE (Visible = "False").
