unable to open .eml into outlook 2007

hi,
I am trying to open .eml file into outlook 2007. but it opens the .eml message as another mail message attachment, I have applied the changes in registry mentioned at the link

however nothing seems to happen ,
but when I run the command ("%ProgramFiles%\Microsoft Office\Office12\OUTLOOK.EXE" /eml "%1")on command prompt and provide the .eml file path it opens up correctly , means it opens correct message, not as attachment.

please suggest, as it is something to do with operating system?

Does Google Desktop is installed on the system? If yes, then remove it and install the latest version.

no , it is not there.

.eml is only accessible w/ outlook express or windows mail depending on what ver OS you are running. MS Outlook uses .msg file format.

thanks for your help, however, What should I do to get it working , if my emails are coming as .eml, I can open those .eml into outlook 2010 but not in outlook 2007.

There is 3rd party software which can convert .eml files to .msg. Other than that you won't be able to open .eml using ms outlook.
