Hi

Got a 2008 domain given by a 2008R2 64 bit, and a 2008 standard server 32 bit
as member server with printmanager as role. The Client is Windows 7 enterprise
32 bit.
Running logonscripts gives me my drives bu not my printer.
The printer can manually be installed on the client using the
printserver. The printer is listet in AD
The line in logonscript is :

objPrinter.AddWindowsPrinterConnection "\\Cphokfd1-prt02\IT"

Any help ?

Hello, have you got UAC disabled on Win7?

UAC has the lowest value
So if you manually run the login script after you've logged in, it still doesn't map the printer?  What language is the login script written in?  Looks like vbscript, could be wrong though.
Sounds difficult to track...

Are the drivers preinstalled on the client/s?

if you run the script in a cmd do you get errors?

It's VBscript.
No errors when running the script after logon
The drivers is not preinstalled on clients
Useally those drivers is installed by the server or ? Works in a 2003 environment
The client still needs the driver to be able to print through the server. If client has issues installing the driver it may be an issue... but as i understand this is not the case.

Just to clarify a bit more
If you run the script after you logon the printer maps?
Don't understand your question !

I want to do as in my old 2003/xp environment.
Install printerserver
Install printer on this
Share the printer
Running logonscript in logonsequence and get
the printer on client by the line in the script above
Not used to install driver on client - the server took care
of this in that environment
What i was asking is if you run the script after you logon, does the printer map?

Oh - sorry
No, the printers does not map after running script after logon
Please do the following test:
1. try adding the printer via UNC
2. Make sure the printer is working - this will test driver on box (print test page)
2. then remove it from printers
3. run script see if adds the printer now that the driver is cached on the client...
Adding by UNC succes
Print OK
Deleting printer and run logon script - no printer :-(
