We are currently in the process of changing out 11 copiers in our primary office. The lease on our Ricoh Aficio's is up and we are now replacing them with Toshiba's.
There are 9 primary print copy fax (PCF) centers in the building, 4 downstairs and 5 upstairs. We want to ensure that everyone has printers installed for a minimum of two printer/copiers, the 2 closest to them. At the same time we are trying to ensure that users are able to keep which ever printers they already have. I.E. if User A has CPF1A.OldPrinter and CPF1B.OldPrinter then user A would receive CPF1A.NewPrinter and CPF1B.NewPrinter.
All of these printers have shares created on our Print Server which already has all the required drivers. We will be rolling out the new printer/copiers one at a time and need to allow for as seamless a transition as possible.
I am looking for the easiest way to install the new drivers/printers and then remove the old drivers/printers.
