Exchange 2010 services not starting automatically

i have just instaled exchange 2010 in in my netwook. enterprise version, on w2k8 64 bit R2. DAG is in place it works fine,
the only problem is when i reboot the server about 3 services set to automatic do not start. Also the services seem to stop randomly at night. These are core services coz when they re not started they outlook will not connect. the 2 service re MSExchangeProtectedServiceHost, MSExchangeRPC client

I have 3 DCs , 2 are running w2k3 SP2 and 1 is running w2k SP4. The exchange server are point to the one running w2k3 sp2, so this should not be a problem.

in addition i keep getting this errror in event viewer.

Event Type:      Warning
Event Source:      MSExchange ADAccess
Event Category:      General
Event ID:      2601
Date:            12/28/2007
Time:            6:28:25 PM
User:            N/A
Computer:      EMAIL1
Description:
Process MSEXCHANGEADTOPOLOGY (PID=252). When initializing a remote procedure call (RPC) to the Microsoft Exchange Active Directory Topology service, Exchange could not retrieve the SID for account <WKGUID=DC1301662F547445B9C490A52961F8FC,CN=Microsoft Exchange,CN=Services,CN=Configuration,...> - Error code=80040a01.
The Microsoft Exchange Active Directory Topology service will continue starting with limited permissions.

Some articles i have read have recommended checking the permissions by running policytest.exe, which on the Exchange CD. I run that and it works fine shows that SeSecurityPrivilige was found.

Others are recommending run the setup.com /preparealldomains command. i have not run it yet because i am not sure the impact of this. will i need to go through every single step like i was installing exchange for the first time or is that one command sufficient?

Any ideas on how to fix this issue? As i think it is related to the problem of some of the services not starting @ reboot. or stopping by themselves.

Any input will be appreciated.

I have seen this happen at reboot, becuase some of the EXchange service are dependant on other service that aren't running. The event log will have the details about why the services didn't start.

As for the quitting, make sure the service is set to automatically restart and hopefully that will help.
