So our ISP has been down for 16 hours now and the company I work for has an exchange server that is unable to communicate with the outside world. So far, they haven't been able to fix the issue with the ISP and they have no ETA. I was wondering if it would be possible to add an MX record to our domain, and a PTR Record to our ISP so that we can use a Verizon Wireless Broadband card for the internet source on our exchange server. We have about 45 employees with mailboxes on this server.
If not, any other ideas on how we can get our exchange communicating with the outside world while our ISP gets it's act together?
