I AM NEW TO MS SQL 2005 and Studio EXPRESS AND I NOTICED THAT IT HAS THE CAPABILITIES OF BACKINGUP DB'S.  I GENERATED THE SQL SCRIPT VIA MS SQL 2005 EXP, and saved it as a text file.

My first question are the backups being performed via ms sql 2005 exp backing up the data/object structure or just the object structure.  I had performed a backup on one of the user DB's and it was performed very quickly it seemed to be under a 1MB. I was shocked because the db had over 70 tables and looking at the properties of the DB it indicated that the siz was 80MB and had 1.05MB space avaialable. I perform server backups using NTbackup on a weekly schedule so I was not sure if the data is being picked up by the server backups. By the way the application is a project management application called primavera.

My 2nd question is since MS sql server 2005 exp does not have the ability to schedule the backups, can I take the generated script and make a batch file to schedule the backup through windows.  do I need to find the executable of the backup to make it work if at all possible.
