Can't reset .DOC association to Word 2010 Click to Run Version with CVH.EXE Virtualization

Client has lost the ability to doubleclick on .DOC files and launch Word from either Explorer or EMail.

When I attempt to reassociate it by using FILE | OPEN WITH | SELECT PROGRAM Word Does not appear as a selection.

If I browse to find WINWORD.EXE, I discover that Windows 7 / Office 2010 is running in a Virtual session on the machine and that there is no such thing as WINWORD.EXE.   The shortcut to Word actually launches a program called CVH.EXE with a string the tells it to start Word.

Have run a repair on Office, no luck.

Thanks!

Deadnight - Thanks for the answer.

I'm confirming that client can locate media and license key to try the reinstall.

It seems odd to me that Dell would preinstall Office as a virtual app.
much more likely that the user did it.. virtual machine isn't on even windows 7 by default and has to be downloaded and installed.... Dell might have put virtual machine on the comuter, but I dont think they would have even initialized it unless maybe they wante to claim the 100% compatibility with Windows XP .. by loading the windows xp virtual add on for virutal machine (that give windows 7 the ability to run a virtual app)
