troubleshooting Question

Windows 7 - IE8 - Faulting application name iexplore.exe - Faulting module name unknown - Event ID 1000

I have a brand new computer that is getting the message above every time is leaves the AOL mail web site open on the desktop.  I have tried to "reset" IE8 back to defaults but the same problem occurs.  Since the faulting module is "Unknown" I don't know what else to do.
